Lack of warning on 550 is ridiculous – and rude

Wouldn’t it be the right thing to do to advise drivers that line painting will be commencing smack dab in the middle of the afternoon at approximately 5 mph for the entire stretch of 550 North toward Hermosa?

Why wouldn’t there be a sign indicating the road work would be happening, so drivers would know to take an alternate route say, 203 or 250? Instead, we crawl along between 5-8 mph for nearly 45 minutes trying to get to just Hermosa from town.

The Colorado Department of Transportation owes it to drivers who are trying to get to work or appointments on time and let them know about this huge inconvenience.

Absolutely ridiculous and downright rude.

Who’s in charge here?
