If you take the time to drive by the new Water Reclamation Plant, take a look at the one tree standing alone at the south end of the soccer field (in the middle you can’t miss it, it looks like a sore thumb).
Parks and Rec Director Cathy Metz was asked to cut this tree down in late 2015 and 2016. She won’t do it.
The tree is almost dead, at least half is dead now. The dead limbs are a safety hazard. If it was removed, we could align the new soccer field and even install a tennis or volleyball court.
A smart director would take care of this before the contractor is finished with the field. For once, do the right thing.
