We have two highly qualified candidates running for Durango City Council.
Kim Baxter has studied Durango’s problems from the inside out – she has spent an inordinate amount of time on Durango advisory committees and on the Planning Commission, to say nothing of attending an untold number of City Council meetings.
Barbara Noseworthy brings 30 years of national and global experience managing large, tight budgets; large staffs; deferred maintenance; and turning failing projects around.
Barbara and Kim know how to think and act long term, much needed in Durango right now.
Durangoans are clamoring for more knowledge and public discussion about current and future city revenue streams and expenses.
With the addition of Kim and Barbara, we can look forward to a council robust with expertise, experience and institutional knowledge for forward-looking decision-making and leadership.
