While alarmists claim 97 percent of climatologists feel man is a major contributor to climate disruption, they neglect to say the poll surveyed only scientists working for the government or leftist organizations that are proponents of the idea. Surveying independent climatologists produces an entirely different outcome. Regardless, we all would like to have a cleaner atmosphere, but wind and solar only produce 2 to 3 percent of U.S. electricity. So, do not deny fossil fuels are a necessity. Bjorn Lomborg, a Danish far-left environmentalist, stated recently the United States is in a very enviable position. By fracking for natural gas, the country is adding billions to its economy, and fracking does more to reduce CO2 emissions than the $60 billion/year the eurozone spends on solar and wind.
By the left attacking our energy sector, costs for power go up, and thus manufacturers ship jobs to China, where power is developed with no regard to cleanliness – with the end result being more CO2. Also, their economy grows while ours shrinks. The same irrational thought concerns the Keystone pipeline: The oil sands are going to be refined by us or China. Here, it produces tens of thousands of jobs, from construction to refining to shipping and in as clean a method as possible. There, it will be dirty again. Our economy grows or China’s does. Of course, it won’t be shipped on dangerous rail by Warren Buffett’s railroad. Then, Buffett is one of Obama’s pals. Hmm.
Fourteen years ago, Al Gore said that by now, the Arctic ice cap would be gone, and most of Florida would be underwater. Well, we know the cap has grown immensely. Also, more than 97 percent of computer climate models have failed to match reality.
Garbage in, garbage out. It is political. It’s all about getting higher taxes from industries the left doesn’t like.
