Insulting Mitsch Bush is just weakness

In a June 3 editorial (“

The Herald also reported the reaction “from the Tipton camp,” which fit perfectly with what we’ve come to expect of Trump and Trump enablers like Tipton: insults with zero basis of truth in them and incoherent slurs: “Luckily, Diane ran so far to the left in 2018 that she has positioned herself well for a Democrat primary that will be a race to the far left.” Incoherent, because, if Diane were “so far to the left,” which she isn’t, her vulnerability in a primary would not be from someone trying to race further to the left, but from a more centrist candidate.

Count on the voices from the “Tipton camp” to employ insults and gross misrepresentations to try to distract voters from Tipton’s lamentable record. You’ll hear this kind of calumny again and again between now and the 2020 election – cries of Socialist! Radical! Extremist, Far Left! Know it for what it is: sound and fury, signifying Tipton’s lack of any constructive policies of his own.
