NEW YORK – Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams will have some experienced veterans alongside them in the upcoming Broadway revival of “Cabaret.”
The Roundabout Theatre Company said Monday that two-time Tony Award nominee Linda Emond and four-time Tony nominee Danny Burstein will join Cumming and Williams. “Cabaret” previews begin in March.
Set in 1931 Berlin, “Cabaret” centers on the world of the indulgent Kit Kat Klub as it becomes intertwined with the world outside, which gets more precarious on the brink of World War II. The songs by John Kander and Fred Ebb include “Willkommen” and “Tomorrow Belongs to Me.”
Emond was most recently on Broadway in “Death of a Salesman” opposite Philip Seymour Hoffman, while “Follies” and “Golden Boy” veteran Burstein is preparing “Snow Geese.”
