Centura Health-Mercy’s new surgical system expands minimally-invasive surgical options

Surgeons at Centura Health-Mercy Regional Medical Center are now able to offer a new level of robotic-assisted operations to patients.

The new surgical system allows surgeons to operate robotically for an additional number of complex surgeries. The systems offers smaller incisions, less blood loss during surgery, fewer complications and shorter recovery periods.

The upgrade features a fourth arm, with all arms now are mounted on an overhead boom that can rotate and pivot, and be disconnected and reconnected mid-procedure if needed. The scope used to see inside the patient delivers sharper and more defined three-dimensional images and is attached to any arm that allows for more flexibility.
