Andie Huml, a Fort Lewis College student teacher, helps to hang the Creativity Festivity Art Show “Art Connects the World” from students in Durango School District 9-R in 2021 in the Barbara Conrad Art Gallery at the Durango Arts Center. (Jerry McBride/Durango Herald file)

Animas City Theatre, 128 E. College Drive, is hosting “Wildflower Mountain Paint and Sip” at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Andie Lynn Huml will teach the step-by-step painting process.

Huml has worked as an art teacher in Durango for more than 10 years. This class is broken down step by step with simplistic explanations, demonstrations and assistance during the entire process, so no previous painting experience is necessary. All supplies are provided including paint, brushes, easels, pallets, smocks and canvas. The theater’s full bar and food from Cuckoos will be available for purchase.

The class is limited to 25 spots. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online. Tickets can also be purchased in person with cash starting at 4 p.m. Sunday.
