Visitor service hours are changing for the Columbine Ranger District office in Bayfield and the Forest Headquarters office in Durango, effective immediately.
- Columbine Ranger District (Bayfield) hours of operation: Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Forest Headquarters office (Durango) hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closed Wednesdays.
Visitor information, such as maps, access locations and recreation site status may be obtained at https://tinyurl.com/mu7eyhv4. Phone support will also be limited. Firewood permits are available at Forest Service offices as well as with participating vendors, as well as some recreation passes.
Additionally, because of resource limitations, the Forest Headquarters office in Durango will no longer accept cash. Checks and credit cards will continue to be accepted. Cash purchases can be made at participating vendors and all other San Juan National Forest offices.
