The public is invited to a meeting with Durango School District Board Directors Kristin Smith and Katie Stewart for a school board candidate information session from noon to 1 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Impact Career Innovation Center on the Durango High School campus, 2410 Main Ave.
Board directors Smith and Stewart will provide election information, discuss the role of school board members and answer questions.
Three seats – Districts A, C and E – are on the ballot for a four-year term, with elections held on Nov. 4. Eligible school board candidates must live in both the school district and the specific director district they want o represent.
