Thursdays, 10:30 a.m.: Toddler Storytime. Stories, songs, rhymes and other activities for children ages 2-3. Storytime lasts about 30 minutes, with a craft afterward.

Feb. 5, 4 p.m.: Teen Time: Game Café. Activities for middle- and high-schoolers. An afternoon of gaming and technology. Select from board games, a Wii and a rotating coding/robotics station.

Feb. 5, 6 p.m.: Durango Diaries Season 5: Sex Education. A sexologist and sex columnist, a Fort Lewis College public health student who manages the @hornythesexbox Instagram account and a public health employee will share some of the lighter and more serious questions they encounter about sex.

Feb 6, 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.: Living your best life with disabilities. Join us for topics taught by Southwest Center for Independence. This new series is free and open to all abilities. Classes and workshops will be held every Thursday afternoon in Program Room 2.

Feb. 19, 6 p.m.: Durango Diaries Season 5: Growing a Business. Local business owners who have grown startups from small, scrappy companies to major organizations will share how they accomplished their dreams.

Feb. 25, 5 p.m.: Indie Lens Pop Up: “Always In Season.” Descendants of the victims and perpetrators of lynching work together to heal a violent history. Blending observational footage with first-person testimonies and expert input, it examines the lingering impact of lynching and the link between this historic form of racial terrorism and the racial violence that exists today.

Feb. 26, 4 p.m.: Teen Time: Wrapped earbuds. Activities for middle- and high-schoolers. Make a pair of tangle-free earbuds. All supplies, including earbuds, will be provided.

Thursdays, 3:30 p.m.: Tour Your Future. Explore new technologies. Learn, play, discover and build skills surrounding robots, coding, programming, gaming, 3D printing and more.

Fridays, 3:30 p.m.: Food Fridays. The library will put together after-school food programs to help young people learn about budgeting, food nutrition and making creative and diverse dishes.

Mondays, 9 a.m.: Yoga-lates. A combination of yoga and Pilates.

Second and fourth Mondays, 11:30 a.m.: Spanish Conversation Hour. Practice Spanish in an informal setting. All ages and language levels welcome.

Tuesdays, 9 a.m.: Yoga for all. A class about proper alignment and modifications. All levels are welcome.

Wednesdays and Fridays, 8:15-9:30 a.m.: Full Body Fit. Use body weight and light hand weights to work out the entire body. Open to everyone. Modifications available. Free.

Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m.: Jan. 15-April 29. Susan Brightman will host an open art studio and instruction session every Wednesday. $5 paint without instruction. $12 paint with instruction and guidance from Brightman. Punch 10 open art session for $40; 10 instruction sessions for $100.

Thursdays, 8 a.m.: Yoga flow. Learn about postures that create yoga sequences.

Feb. 1, 9 a.m.: Escape Room: Go back in time to Benny’s Diner in the 1950s. Rumors in town are that Benny is a Soviet spy and is about to launch an attack. Participants will have an hour to sneak into his diner and discover all of his secrets in order to stop the attack in time. Fifteen slots available during the three days, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. An hour and a half for groups of 4 to 6 people. $10 deposit to reserve a spot.

Feb. 5, 3 p.m.: Cardboard Fantasy Houses. Using cardboard, spend the afternoon creating anything imaginable. Free for all ages. All materials provided.

Feb. 8, 3 p.m.: Valentine Papercrafts. Make a folding papercraft for Valentine’s Day. All supplies provided. All ages welcome, but children younger than 9 will need adult supervision.

Feb. 12, 9:15 a.m.: Kindergarten Readiness Workshop. Free Play and Learn Workshop by the Early Childhood Council of La Plata County. Second Wednesday of every month through June. Grow literacy and math skills as well as social and emotional skills using songs, stories and activities. Free resource packets. Parents and caregivers are invited to attend along with preschool-aged children (3-5 years). Younger siblings may also attend, but materials will not be provided for them.

Feb. 22, 3 p.m.: Intro to Digital Design. Learn some of the basics of digital design using Tinkercad, Inkscape and other free design programs. All ages welcome.
