La Plata County Historic Society would like to thank everyone who supported our annual culinary heritage dinner held at the Strater Hotel on Sept. 16.
Those who attended the dinner enjoyed an elegant and authentic meal prepared by Chef Neal Drysdale and gastronome Jeremy Foote.
The event was a benefit for the Animas Museum, which is the keeper of La Plata County’s history.
We would also like to thank Bob Leech, Mountain Roots Farm, Frontier Trout Farm, James Ranch, Local Brand Meats Co-op, Benga Farms and Peach Valley Produce, which furnished local food for the dinner. Rod Barker, who furnished chokecherries, and his staff need a special thank you for their support and the outstanding job they did that evening. Thanks also to Fredrick Zink and Associates and La Plata Electric Association for their support.
The society is already looking forward to next year’s event.
