There would be no trap game for the Ignacio High School boys basketball team on Friday.
Three nights after the No. 13 Bobcats stunned No. 3 Mancos in a big road win, Ignacio returned home and rolled past the Sargent Farmers for a 64-23 win one day ahead of another big league game with Telluride.
IHS (6-2, 4-0 2A/1A San Juan Basin League) had incredible balance up and down the lineup. Bryce Finn finished with 13 points, Dylan Labarthe added 12, Gabe Tucson had 11, Joe Garcia finished with nine on three made 3-pointers, and Brady McCaw scored eight.
Finn also had four steals, two blocked shots and seven rebounds. Tucson also had six rebounds and two steals.
IHS built a 19-2 lead after one quarter and led 32-12 at halftime, allowing Valdez to play multiple substitutes the entire second half.
The Bobcats will look to make it six wins in a row at home Saturday against Telluride (0-6, 0-5 SJBL).
