Things you don’t want to miss this week

Looks like there’s another big Arts & Entertainment week on deck for us in Durango. Here are some things not to miss:

1. Durango Independent Film Festival: Focus on Film

Various times and venues, for tickets and schedule, visit

durangofilm.org

.

For the past 15 years, the Durango Independent Film Festival has been bringing movies from all over the world to Durango – along with the people who make the movies. This year “Focus on Film” will once again offer up a schedule of cool films starting today and running through Sunday in various venues in downtown Durango. The fest also boasts a schedule of parties, meet-and-greets and Q&A panels.

2. Raven Narratives: “Firsts/Lasts” storytelling event

Two nights: 7:30 p.m. Friday, Durango Arts Center, 802 East Second Ave.; 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sunflower Theatre at KSJD, 8 East Main St., Cortez. Tickets: $14 pre-purchase seniors/students, $16 pre-purchase general admission. $20 at the door. For more information and to buy tickets, visit

Everybody’s got a story to tell, and the bravest of us can get on stage and tell it. Wingerd will share their true stories. Raven Narratives sell out pretty fast, so it’s a good idea to get your tickets early.

We continue to bring this tradition to global audiences through our post-disciplinary collaborations with some of the greatest influencers, thinkers and creators in the world.”

4. Viva the Good Life!

7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday, First United Methodist Church, 2917 Aspen Drive. Tickets: $20/$5 and are available online at
