Pine River library needs our support

The award-winning Pine River library serves as a community center where people of all ages come together to work, play, learn and thrive. In addition to offering an incredible selection of books, print media, digital media and technology, library staff work tirelessly to bring these resources to life every day with classes, programs, events and services.

Despite efforts to curb expenses and preserve resources wherever possible, the Pine River library now faces a serious decline in revenue. These declines are due to the way property taxes are calculated in Colorado along with a significant decrease in oil and gas revenues.

Ballot measure 6A will increase the levy on residential property owners by $1.20 per month per $100,000 of assessed property value. This is a small amount to ask to ensure that the Pine River Library can continue to be the heart of our community. I hope you will Vote YES on 6A.
