MORP offers grafting, pruning workshops in Hesperus

The Montezuma Orchard Restoration Project plans workshops on how to graft and prune fruit trees in Hesperus on April 7.

The Montezuma Orchard Restoration Project plans a workshop on how to graft and prune fruit trees in Hesperus from 10 a.m. to noon April 7 at the Old Fort, 19251 Colorado Highway 140.

The grafting class is $35 for MORP members and $45 for nonmembers. The pruning class is free to MORP members and $30 for nonmembers.

Register by emailing MORP at morp@montezumaorchard.org or register and prepay at montezumaorchard.org and include which workshop you plan to attend. Participants may also register at the event on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ten participants are required, and a maximum of 20 will be allowed, so participants are encouraged to preregister. If an insufficient number of participants sign up, MORP will refund the fee.
