Sore, sure, but it’s good to get in the swing of things

Yes, Virginia, I did hit the golf course last Friday, and when I awoke the next day, I asked my wife why I was so sore around the love handles.

“Duh,” she said. “What did you do yesterday?”

It took a couple of days before I could rotate on my axis, but I did it, and I discovered some missing elements of my game.

It’s so invigorating and humiliating to self-teach yourself through a slice, a hook, a ground pounder and a worm ball! It’s equally satisfying to finally hear the “ping” of a straight drive off of a metal 3-wood.

It’s a no-brainer to realize you are hitting a hard object with another hard object, despite the fact you want to hit the ball so hard the dimples flee in fear. Once I slowed down, dragged the club head slowly back and made a perfect arc of my swing, only then did I acquire the needed results.

This all came as I only had three range balls left of the three baskets I purchased. Mission accomplished.

Does anybody have some sports cream?
