Community Health Action Coalition will hold a free workshop about Advance Care Planning from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 14 at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
Advance Care Planning refers to the expression and documentation of future health care decisions.
Attendees must be 18 or older.
Medical and legal experts will help participants with documents, including medical durable power of attorney, living will, CPR directives and medical orders for scope of treatment. Topics will include “staying in charge of your life,” “exploring your values about death and dying,” “the pros and cons of life-sustaining technologies” and “understanding Colorado advance directive forms.”
Registration deadline is Sept. 12.
