On April 6, Durango voters will elect three of the five seats on the City Council for the next four years. We are writing to let you know why we are supporting Frank Lockwood to fill one of those seats and to appeal for your support of his campaign.
We have known Frank since 2007, and we are pleased to count him as a friend. He has the capability, the commitment, and the character to be an excellent city councilor. Through his long legal career in family law and mediation, he has developed excellent listening skills, the ability to critically analyze issues and offer solutions, and the ability to communicate effectively.
He has manifested his commitment to community service in multiple ways, including a term on the county Planning Commission. Prior to living in Durango, he lived in Kailua, Hawaii and served on the board of their Chamber of Commerce for 10 years, helping to boost tourism there.
Finally, Frank is a man for whom integrity, respect and civil behavior are paramount. To learn more about Frank and his perspective on Durango issues, visit his website: FrankforDurango.com. We hope that you agree with us that Frank is a top candidate and that you will join us in actively supporting him.
