Emily Newcomer is the perfect candidate for a seat on the District 9 School Board. I’ve known Emily since I worked with her on a project at SASO, which taught elementary school children how to be “Safe, Strong and Free,” and how to talk to an adult if they were subject to inappropriate behavior by others.
The project also sought to help teenagers recognize sexual harassment and/or assault and to not be “bystanders” to such behavior.
I found Emily to be intelligent, articulate and committed, and she loves kids.
