Group of ranchers in Animas Valley help neighbors in need
Patty Zink lifts up a bale of hay to Clyde Johnson on Wednesday in a field in Animas Valley. Five other neighbors volunteered their time to get the bales out of Gale and Mary McPhearson’s pasture and into the barn. The McPhearsons are in a situation to where they can’t get it done. “We’re neighbors helping out neighbors,” said Zink. The group picked up about 300 bales out of a field north of Durango.
