Colorado Native Plant Society, Southwest Chapter, will host a virtual talk, “Beyond Honey Bees: Why Care About Butterflies and Beetles?” by Tina Sebestyen with Four Corners Beekeepers Association at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, via Zoom.
Sebestyen will discuss why it is important to have beetles, hoverflies and other furry, flying creatures in a yard and garden, and how to make a habitat that is works for all of them.
Sebestyen learned beekeeping from mentors, as well as through mentoring as founder of the Four Corners Beekeepers Association. She is past vice president of the Colorado State Beekeepers Association and is currently working to produce the Master Beekeeper Program for the state of Colorado.
