Pagosa Springs Medical Center is scheduled to open a new outpatient wing on Monday, April 10, to complete Phase 1 of the center’s master plan.
The new two-story wing will house the clinic and feature 28 exams rooms for primary care, two exam rooms for sub-specialty services, two procedure rooms for orthopedic and minor surgical services and two rooms for behavioral health consultations.
Health care providers will have dedicated exam rooms and more space for nurses and medical assistants. A registration area for all services, three waiting areas and a single entrance under a new canopy will also be created.
The wing will be decorated with art submitted by local and regional artists. All artwork will be available for sponsorship until June 19. Sponsored art will be put on permanent display with a plaque to name the sponsor and artist.
A grand opening ceremony will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 17.
