Prominent University of Colorado alumni in Durango, Dolph Kuss (left) and Bob Hofman were on hand at the Strater Hotel for the Chancellor’s Tour event. Kuss was the first Nordic ski coach in CU history, and Hofman is a former men’s basketball player of the Buffaloes. The practice court at CU is named in Hofman’s honor, and head men’s basketball coach Tad Boyle saluted Hofman for his long coaching career at Fort Lewis College and called him a friend. Kuss was honored by CU athletic director Rick George and thanked for his service as the team’s first Nordic coach.
