Several Durango residents were recently elected to leadership positions in the local Civitan club, and will soon begin managing the club’s charitable projects in the area.
The new officers are: Mike Phillips, president; Christine Phillips, president elect; Lori Curtis, secretary; and Christine Phillips, treasurer. They began their terms in October.
The club helps others through a variety of community service projects in Durango, including highway cleanup, Homes for Hero’s breakfast, Dream League, softball and floor hockey, Andrews Lake cleanup, Rocky Mountain Chocolate bloomer sale, Night to Shine and Salvation Army bell ringing.
