The River Church is organizing a River of Lights event from 5 to 9 p.m. Dec. 18, 19 and 24 beginning in the church parking lot, 860 Plymouth Drive.
Community members are invited to participate by decorating their homes with lights and submitting their address to be added to the event map. Students who are earning money for Leadership Training School tuition are available to assist with decorating.
During the event, families will drive into The River Church parking lot, which will also be decorated with lights. Families will receive a map to decorated homes as well as hot chocolate for their drive. Several games are planned for children to play as they look at the lights.
The church is also accepting canned goods and gently used and new coats during the event.
