Tim Wheeler puts his money where his mouth is. When he owned the Durango Coffee Company, in his support of KSUT he once offered a free bag of coffee every month for a year to anyone who contributed $100 or more to the station’s fund drive. Not believing I had heard what my ears told me, I called KSUT. They confirmed the offer.
I accepted with my pledge. Later I discovered there were only eleven of us who took Wheeler up on the offer. I picked up my free bag of coffee every month! He is the real deal.
When Wheeler says in the May 7 Herald column on LPEA candidates what his vision is, believe him. He supports affordable local clean energy, self-sufficiency and transparency, and has served as the co-op’s treasurer and on the Broadband Committee as well as Finance and Audit Committee. He is a well-seasoned, experienced member of the LPEA board and we should retain him.
As a resident of District 4, I will definitely be voting for Tim Wheeler. If you pay an LPEA bill in District 4, I urge you to do the same. Wheeler is committed to giving back. As I said, Wheeler is the real deal.
