25 years ago: “Durango High School teachers and students have adjusted well to the stress of 300 additional student bodies on campus ... The high school added a fresh class this fall, after the Durango School District 9-R replaced its junior highs, grades 7, 8 and 9, with middle schools of grades 6, 7 and 8. DHS is now about 1,050.”
