Durango Friends of the Arts wishes to thank the very talented Marilyn Garst, who opened up her home Nov. 20 for a private classical music concert to benefit DFA’s Grant Fund, which has been supporting the arts in our area since 1991.
Marilyn, on the grand piano, and her sister, Bonnie Mangold, on the cello, perfectly performed a variety of lively classical music, with a lovely and timely background of falling snow.
DFA also wishes to thank Tricia Bayless, who helped with the performance. A wine and appetizer reception was held after the recital provided by the hosts, Marilyn and Ron Garst.
