100 Years Ago: The Western Colorado Power Co. installed its eighth electric sign in Durango at Parson’s drug store.

75 years ago: Motorists from Durango, Bayfield and Oxford were issued citations for driving without valid license plates or inspection certificates. Two tickets for $7 and one for $4 were issued.

50 Years Ago: It was reported that of the 27 people who died on highways in the Colorado Patrol Durango district, the majority of fatalities in 1966 occurred on weekends.

25 years ago: Someone reported three men drinking and harassing people behind the Durango Fire Station. Police cited one of them for obscene conduct and took him to jail.
