50 years ago: Judge Eakes in La Plata County District Court dismissed “a writ” of habeas corpus of a man being held by La Plata County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of armed robbery in Clark County, Nevada, which means claims presented by petitioners were deemed unsubstantiated and authorities concluded that the suspect was being held legally.
25 years ago: A woman reported to La Plata County Sheriff’s Office that she was hit in the face by a hard-boiled egg while riding her bike on Wildcat Canyon Road.
