And the West is History: La Plata County Fairgrounds aerial view – ca. 1946

This picture was taken from an airplane during the Spanish Trials Fiesta Rodeo and Horse Races sometime before 1948. The grandstands are completely full, holding more than 7,000 people. At the bottom to the right, the starting gate for a horse race is seen positioned across the track.
