Hazel Hood, left, and her friend Florence Erickson stand next to an excursion boat named Silverton at the Electra Lake boathouse. Both graduated from Durango High School in 1935. Hazel was an accomplished bowler who rolled a 224, the highest tournament score in Durango by either a man or woman in 1939.
