San Juan Basin Public Health will present a workshop on how to talk about vaping with teens from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at Animas High School, 271 Twin Buttes Ave.
Colorado tops the nation for teen e-cigarette use. An estimated 27,000 Colorado high schoolers report vaping more than 10 days a month, and stories about vaping-related illnesses are in the news.
The workshop will cover how to support teens through open conversations about the impact of vaping, what teens are seeing in their community and how they can talk with their peers.
Dinner and door prizes will be provided.
