The city of Durango hired a contractor to paint the metal railing along the Animas River Trail from Tuesday, Oct. 31, through Nov. 30, weather permitting.
Painting will take place between the Junction Creek Bridge at Rank Park and the underpass at the intersection of South Camino del Rio and U.S. Highway 160, near the DoubleTree Hotel.
Trail users can expect to encounter painting equipment and traffic-control alerts of work zones.
