This year marks the 10th year of San Juan Mountains Association’s “Christmas Trees for Conservation” tree lot at the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad parking lot.

The lot serves as SJMA’s major fundraiser for conservation education and stewardship activities. The tree lot opens at noon the day after Thanksgiving, Nov. 24, and will be open daily until the trees sell out. Operating hours are noon to 6 p.m. Sunday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
