Coming off an impressive blowout victory over No. 4 La Junta, the No. 1 Bayfield Wolverines will travel to No. 3 Platte Valley for the Colorado High School Activities Association Class 2A Football State Championship.

The game will officially take place at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 28 in Kersey.

Ticket information will be announced later in the week.

Over the weekend, Bayfield (11-0) beat La Junta 47-7 in Bayfield to get the opportunity to play for the state championship.

Bayfield’s opponent, Platte Valley (11-1) trailed Kent Denver by 17 points in the first half, but rallied up an impressive comeback to win 29-23.
