On Nov. 9, at 3:15 p.m., I almost killed three adults and a dog.
The fearless four were strolling north in the center of the south-bound lane of County Road 250 between Trimble Lane and Baker’s Bridge, oblivious, enjoying a typically spectacular Colorado afternoon.
This almost life-changing moment occurred because they were walking right where vehicles belong. Clearly, all four were clueless about the intense danger they were putting themselves in, and putting me in (and my dog Gibbs).
In order not to kill this stupid (no apology), selfish (again no apology), self-centered group, this very safe, law abiding driver who always follows the speed limit had to swerve across the yellow line to miss them – in front of an oncoming truck. A dangerous move I had to make in order not to kill them all.
Get a grip! Wake up and smell the air we all breath. Who do you think you are? Special?
Well, so am I and so is Gibbs.
