Blueprints of Hope to hold workshop series

Local nonprofit Blueprints of Hope will hold a workshop, “Lifting the Fog – Navigating the Impact of Cancer Treatments on Memory, Thinking and Attention,” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 23 in the Fellowship Hall at First United Methodist Church, 2917 Aspen Drive.

The workshop will focus on memory and thinking difficulties that appear during and after cancer therapies and will feature presentations by AnneMarie Ciccarella, a cancer survivor, patient advocate, blogger and researcher; Andrea Chadwell, an oncology pharmacist with Mercy Cancer Services; and Susie Young, a registered dietitian who is board-certified by Mercy Cancer Services in oncology nutrition.

The workshop is the first of a three-part cancer-survivorship series, which will continue through February. Workshops are funded by a grant from the Colorado Cancer Coalition, Colorado Cancer Fund and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

The event is free and open to cancer patients, survivors, friends, caregivers and health care professionals. Space is limited and registration is required.

To register, call 403-3711 or visit www.blueprintsofhope.org.
