Whether the additional revenue is justified, or not, is a separate issue. Attempting to raise it via increased property taxes is just plain unfair.
Those requesting this increase need to find an alternative to this easy way out and come up with either a sales tax increase or some other type of subscription-based fee that charges everyone equitably.
For this reason, I urge everyone to vote no on the proposed mill levy increase.
