Centura Health-Mercy Regional Medical Center achieved the Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award for the 13 consecutive year, which places Mercy among the top 5% of hospitals nationwide for patient experience in 2021.
Healthgrades evaluates performance by applying a scoring methodology to 10 patient experience measures, using data collected from a 29-question survey of the hospital’s own patients. The survey questions focus on patients’ perspectives of their care in the hospital.
Question topics range from cleanliness and noise levels in patient rooms to medication explanations, and hospital staff member responsiveness to patients’ needs. The measures also include whether a patient would recommend the hospital to friends or family and their overall rating of the hospital.
