People can get their boogie on at Chapman Hill Ice Rink.
The Durango skating rink opened in early October with more public skate options, such as Disco Nights, which take place from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Fridays and 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. Saturdays.
Other skate programs offered this season include:
- Introduction to Figure Skating and Youth Skate School courses are available for children ages 6 to 18 and are ongoing through March.
- Public skating hours are from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Monday to Friday, and 1:45 to 3:15 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. On Tuesday, afternoon hours are 1:45 to 4 p.m. On Sunday, public skating hours are from 3 to 5 p.m.
- Stick and Puck hours are from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday to Friday, with additional times scheduled from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, and 1:45 to 3:15 p.m. Saturday. On Sundays, Stick and Puck hours are 10:30 a.m. to noon.
- Freestyle Figure Skating hours are from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday and 10:30 to 11:25 a.m. Sunday.
Admission to the Chapman Hill Ice Rink is $8 for adults and $7 for children. Children 3 years old and younger can attend free.
Visitors are encouraged to practice mask use and social distancing because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
