Chapman Hill Ski Area will be open from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for a preseason weekend of skiing and snowboarding after snowmaking efforts established a 12- to 16-inch base.
The ski hill, at 500 Florida Road, will close Monday through Friday until it officially opens for the season Dec. 23. The slopes will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Holiday hours include: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 23; noon-4 p.m. Dec. 24; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 26-30; noon-4 p.m. Dec. 31; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Jan. 2-7.
Starting Jan. 8, the area will be open from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Ski and snowboard lessons will start Dec. 27.
