The city of Durango holiday schedule includes:
Durango City Hall; River City Hall; Durango Police Department; Durango Parks and Recreation; Durango-La Plata County Airport administrative offices; and Greenmount Cemetery will be closed Dec. 22 and 25.Durango Public Library and Durango Recycling Center will be closed Dec. 22-25.Durango Transit Center will be closed and transit services will not be available Dec. 23-25, and the evening bus will not be available until Jan. 7.Durango Community Recreation Center will be open from 9 a.m. to noon, with the aquatics area closing at 11:30 a.m., Dec. 24, and will be closed Dec. 25.Durango School District 9-R schools; Fort Lewis Mesa and Sunnyside branch libraries, and Durango Gymnastics will be closed Dec. 25-Jan. 8. Durango Gymnastics will hold open gym Dec. 28, Dec. 29, Jan. 4 and Jan. 5.Chapman Hill ice rink will hold public skate from 11:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 24, and the ice rink and ski hill will be closed Dec. 25.Trash and recycling services will not be provided Dec. 25, and items will be picked up Dec. 26.Metered parking will be free Dec. 25 in observance of Christmas Day.
