“Meeting the Needs of Seniors, Providers and Caregivers,” the seventh annual Community Challenge, will be held April 18 and May 11 at La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.
Leslie K. Hasche, associate professor at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work, will present “Aging and How to Bring Generations Together” during the April 18 session from 8 a.m. to noon. Also that day, advance directive planning will be discussed.
Topics scheduled for the May 11 session, which will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., include professional resources, community resources, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. A lunch will be held at the Durango/La Plata Senior Center.
