Community Health Action Coalition will hold a free workshop about Advance Care Planning from 9 a.m. to noon April 28 at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
Advance Care Planning is the process of documenting future health care decisions. Speakers Dr. Bob Cox, Dr. John K. Boyd and Sarah Roberts-Cady will cover having the conversation, pros and cons of life-sustaining technologies and understanding Colorado Advance Directive forms.
Participants will receive information to understand and complete medical durable power of attorney and living will documentation. Completed forms can be notarized and delivered to Mercy Regional Medical Center.
Breakfast will be offered at 8:30 a.m. The event is open to ages 18 and older.
