La Plata Conservation District recently opened its 2018-19 scholarship program for high school seniors attending college in the fall and currently-enrolled college students.
The program appoints $1,500 scholarships to two qualifying students. To be eligible, applicants are required to have declared a major in environmental science, biology or another conservation-related major.
Applications can be dropped off or mailed to: La Plata Conservation District, 31 Suttle St., Durango, CO 81031.
The deadline to submit applications is 5 p.m. April 6.
