A Cortez police officer stepped in to complete a Domino’s pizza delivery on March 16 after arresting the driver on a warrant.

Officer Joseph Yen stopped a Domino’s pizza delivery vehicle at 8:38 p.m. near 900 S. Market St. after suspecting the driver had an active warrant and an inoperable license plate light.

Officer Keirnan Korthank later delivered the pizza to the waiting customer.

The warrant, issued March 12, was for failure to appear on a theft charge involving property valued at $99 from Walmart.
