I was glad to see our county officials back down on their latest taxing attack on La Plata county property owners.
I think that instead of always going after property owners, they should tax the people who use the stuff they want to create or improve.
Want to expand the airport, tax those who use it – ticket tax.
Want to fix the roads, tax those who use the them – gas tax.
We property owners already fund the public trough. Let public property users kick in their fair share.
