The Dementia Caregiver Support Groups meet on an ongoing monthly basis and are for family or friends who have a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia at any stage of the disease. The groups are facilitated by volunteers who are screened, trained and supervised by the Alzheimer’s Association. Support Groups are a safe place to receive support for the difficult journey of Alzheimer’s.
Bayfield group meetings are currently “on hold,” but normally meet at Pine River Senior Center, 111 West South St, Bayfield. Call for updated information.
Durango group meetings are from 10 to 11:30 a.m. the first and third Wednesday at Durango/La Plata Senior Center, 2424 Main Ave., and from 6 to 7:30 p.m. the second Tuesday at Sunshine Gardens, 25 Sunshine Court.
Pagosa Springs group meetings are from 2 to 3:30 p.m. the first Tuesday at Pagosa Bible Church, 209 Harmon Park Drive.
There is no cost to attend.
